What if everything you’ve been taught about religion, history, and human nature is incomplete, or even wrong?
From Creation to Christ takes you on a journey from the creation myths of antiquity to the rise of Christianity, revealing how religion has been used as a tool to shape society and maintain power. From the political maneuvers behind the Exodus to the Roman adoption of Christianity as a unifying force, we explore the master-slave dynamic embedded in our DNA and how it has influenced Western thought.
Drawing on the wisdom of Greek philosophy, modern insights, human nature and the lessons of history, we challenge the contradictions and flaws of traditional belief systems.
The book concludes with a suggestion that may move us beyond cycles of division and control that have been supported by religion, and defined our past.
The Evolution of History and Belief
In Acts 17:6, early Christians were accused of "turning the world upside down." Today, we face a similar opportunity. Just as Copernicus revolutionized our understanding of the universe, this book invites you to rethink your assumptions about God, morality, and human nature.
We propose a new framework for belief, one grounded in honesty, critical thought, and compassion. This reinterprets the Trinity as a guide to understanding the unknown, embracing truth, and fostering personal and collective growth.
You must agree that it is time to break free from outdated belief, challenge dogma, and embrace all which aligns with our modern understanding of the world.
Are you ready to turn your world upside down?
A New Framework for Faith:
We require a new belief which is adequate for our time, one that is grounded in the rational and the ethical, that recognizes the intrinsic flaws of traditional dogma, while offering a path to proper social behaviors and personal growth and fulfillment. Faith must not be based on unreasonable concepts, but on the observable realities of human behavior and the need for compassion and social cohesion.
Key Principles
Forgiveness and Repair: We must abandon the concept of free will as traditionally understood. Our behaviors are shaped by biological drives, societal conditioning, and environmental factors, little belongs to the domain of freewill. Given this, we must eliminate the concept of sin, forgive ourselves and all others for perceived wrongs, focusing instead on comprehending our flaws and repairing ourselves and then the world, a principle known in Kabbalah as Tikkun Olam.
The Truth About Human Nature: Recognize that human behavior and evolution is largely motivated by sexual competition, a force that can lead to irrational and self-destructive decisions. Once we acknowledge this truth, we can begin to transcend it, understanding that many of our motivations are not as noble or rational as we might hope.
The Trinity
The concept of a Trinity was not originally Jewish or Christian, it was first a standard of Greek philosophy, and must be viewed as a guide to understanding the unknown, our world, and place in it:
The One, God is the first aspect of the Trinity, God is the unknowable source of creation and goodness. We accept that God is beyond human comprehension, and thus, our relationship with God is grounded in faith. Faith in the inherent goodness of creation and the potential for personal transformation through understanding, knowledge, and wisdom.
The Logos, Christ, the Word, or Logos, represents truth, and the path to understand what good is. It is not a historical figure to be worshipped but a universal force to be discovered through honesty and integrity. Truth is the key to unlocking the potential in ourselves and society.
The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is our connection to the divine, residing within each of us. Through this connection, we use reason and logic to explore the world, guided by the Logos. The Holy Spirit is what allows us to access glimpses of God’s nature and is instrumental in our personal growth and liberation.
A Call to Action
We do not pray for salvation or redemption, God is not deaf and knows our intent without need for petition. Our belief system calls for action: it urges us to repair our world by understanding and addressing the conditions that cause our suffering and eliminate them. We are not helpless in the face of suffering. Instead, we are well equipped with the ability to challenge outdated systems of thought and create a more just, compassionate society. By embracing this belief system, individuals will be empowered to break free from destructive cycles, forge meaningful relationships, and contribute positively to a successful community.
This path is one of truth, healing, and growth, a way forward where we reject the concept of sin, and the limitations of old religions, we embrace a rational, ethical, and inclusive vision of the future.
