Justice is the art of convincing people to obey the rules that benefit the rulers

Justice as Transparancy

Polemarchus reiterates his faith in the definition attributed to Simonides: (Socraters opposes the argument that  "justice is to benefit one's friends and harm one's enemies"

For Plato Justice is the obligation of the soul, without justice we have no soul. Plato says that justice is not mere strength, but a harmonious strength. Justice is not the right of the stronger but the effective harmony of the whole.

Aristotle says justice consists in what is lawful and fair, with fairness involving equitable distributions and the correction of what is inequitable.

Jesus Christ goes bejond all three of these philosophies he calls on his followers to take action and confront evil, to care for the vulnerable, and to make right that which is wrong.

Justice for Percimicus is a sort of suckers game, obeying the rules that really  benefit others largely because we fear the consequences of injustice.  Only respected by the weak  who are fearful of  the consequences of injustice. The true ruler is one that has the courage to act unjustly for his own benefit.  Like a shepard with a flock that he rules not for the benefit of the flock but for his own interest.  That justice is a virtue is agreed by both.  What kind of virtue is it to fleece and deceive others ?

Percimicus believes the just person is a fool for obeying laws that are not of benefit to him, the best life is doing maximum injustice to others.

I don't think justice is not a form of weakness...   Great men as Nietzsche's superman man can not only benefit from his flock but also be just to his flock , it is a more difficult task yet that is why he is called Superman.

There will always be a difference between the rulers and the ruled as there is between the living and the dead, It is incumbent upon the
rulers to know they are holy responsible create the civil society. The rulers alone hold the responsibility for the quality of mercy,
and aestetic achievement of the society they rule.

It serves little to rule in hell, for it has no esthetic quality other than punishment and dominion. An act which in it's self debases
the ruler as he becomes one and the same with those he punishes and subjugates. Rather than the position that is created in the dominion
of others, an inclusive approach of all into the ruling process is preferred. Raising the ruled into the rulers, or freedom in ways has a
better outcome than the road of domination and punishment.

A society or family that creates equality and thereby justice is far preferable to one of dominion and injustice.

I hate learning, now I need to learn about probate. Don't you think that it would have so much better to have had our sister and her family,
kept us in the loop ?

I don't care if they have been un-fair with monies, what is important to me is the method they choose of dealing with this whole situation
that troubles me. The death of ones mother is bad enough, then to add these troubles is un-civil and in no way justified.
