For the purpose of this site the importance of Benjamin Franklin rests on the similarity between the creation of the state of Israel by Moses and the creation of America by Franklin, or possibly the vision of Francis Bacon.

Through these similarities of history the English Monarchy can be compared to the Egyptian Pharaohs and the Israelites to the Americans to do battle for the Monarchy.

Flavius Josephus

In 67 C.E. Josephus and other rebels were cornered in a cave during the siege of Jotapata and took a suicide pact. However, Josephus survived, and was taken hostage by the Romans, led by Vespasian.
Josephus shrewdly reinterpreted the Messianic prophecies. He predicted that Vespasian would become the ruler of the 'entire world'. Josephus joined the Romans, for which he was branded a traitor.
Other than the Gospels,  Josephus is the only contemporary of Jesus Christ that writes about the event.

Shakespear, public schools

Shakespeare probably began his education at the age of six or seven at the Stratford grammar school, which is still standing only a short distance from his house on Henley Street and is in the care of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. Although we have no record of Shakespeare attending the school, due to the official position held by John Shakespeare it seems likely that he would have decided to educate young William at the school which was under the care of Stratford's governing body.

Federico García Lorca

“The artist, and particularly the poet, is always an anarchist in the best sense of the word. He must heed only the call that arises within him from three strong voices: the voice of death, with all its foreboding, the voice of love and the voice of art.”

The success of the united states in material development is the most illustrious of modern time. The American nation has no only born and suppressed the most gigantic and expensive war of all history but immediately after disbanded its army found employment for all its soldiers and marines , paid off its debt given labor and homes to all of the unemployed in Europe as fast as the could arrive in its territory and still by a system of taxation so indirect as to not be perceived much less felt. Because it is my deliberate judgment that the prosperity of America is mainly due to its system of protective laws I urge that Germany has reached that point where it is necessary to imitate the tariff system of the united states (Tarrifs )

Ephialtes (Greek: Ἐφιάλτης, Ephialtēs) was an ancient Athenian politician and an early leader of the democratic movement there. In the late 460s BC, he oversaw reforms that diminished the power of the Areopagus, a traditional bastion of conservatism, and which are considered by many modern historians to mark the beginning of the "radical democracy" for which Athens would become famous. These powers included the scrutiny and control of office holders, and the judicial functions in state trials. He introduced pay for public officeholders, reduced the property qualifications for holding a public office, and created a new definition of citizenship
