According to the lexicon of free masonry (Macky, Barnes and Noble) states that the Egyptian Priests would have a more powerful office than the Kings.

This would be the reason European kings were subject to the Pope. Please recall the the sack of Rome 387 and later in 410 is accomplished by the Germanic barbarians, not to destroy Rome but to share in its wealth. These northern tribes did not even have a written language until after this period. St Agustus tells of the importance that the Germans gave to Christianity. That although brutal barbarians they would spare the Church and its Christian followers. The Church was the only way to rule the land and it would rule a people that could not read or write. Even in 1066, William the Congueror, the first Norman King of England could not read or write. 

It appears to me that this is further evidence that the true religion behind the Universal or Catholic Church is not Christianity but the ancient mystery religions of the Egyptians. Is this good or bad, that is very difficult to say... it is what it is and regardless of what we may wish to think this is how God intended it. After all we chose our Religion and ruled our people by it.     

Also note the importance of  the Egyptian obelisk in the architecture of the Vatican. The Apostles  who are permanently placed on the roof  in adoration of the obelisk, is this what are called mysteries!

What we know is that  Egypt was an economy that ran on slavery.  Their closest neighbors the Israelits for centuries considered themselves free. But were they? In a more true sense of economic realities the much more powerful Egyptian economy would dominate its neighbor. Not to be overlooked is the strategic importance of Canaan as the gateway to Egypt.

The message of Jesus Christ is one that, abandons the priesthood, and promises true freedom.  It is in the established priest hood and its Kings that torture and kill Christ.

The method for this freedom is through a belief in Jesus Christ, love of neighbor, and in particular the abandonment of money and material wants. Who does that? How many Christians do you, know if any?  

This does not mean that there is no economic component to Christianity, quite the opposite. Christianity is and economic term an economic entity, it is the community, it is the resource that permits the individuals to live without the care of money. It becomes the ultimate resource for love of neighbor and enemy. But, where are the Christians, has there ever been a community where truth has set its people free?  

Would these two words have interchangeable significance ?
