The entirety of human history is inextricably bound to religion, it can not be divided. We have been tossing this word around alot. We should figure out what we mean when we say it. Religion is the language through which one discribes of transendence  And by transcendence I don't mean any thing more complicated that that which lies beyond our material realm , our experience of the material realm.  Religion is not something you believe in or don't believe in.
