Angkor Wat (or Angkor Vat) (Khmer: អង្គរវត្ត) is a Hindu temple 1145-1150AD complex at Angkor, Cambodia, built for the king Suryavarman II.
In the 20th century the French began restoration of the Batwan temple... the temple is disasembled and the stones are labeled for re-assembly when in 1975 the Cambodian Holocaust of Poll Pot and the Khmer Rouge interrupts the restoration. Of the thousands that worked on the restoration with all were killed but two. Lost were the records for how to put back the temple, and enormous jig saw puzzle left on the jungle floor.
Pope Boniface VIII, born Benedetto Caetani (c. 1235 – October 11, 1303) was Pope of the Roman Catholic Church from 1294 to 1303. Today, Boniface VIII is probably best remembered for his feuds with Dante, who placed him in a circle of Hell in his Divina Commedia, and with King Philip IV of France.
